HALAL BAND loves to lead persons into atmospheres of worship. Lead Singer, David Rookwood toured with Jamaica’s Worship Leader, Jermaine Gordon and served as a professional backup singer for over 4 years. He is a Worship Leader at his local church and finds himself often giving vocal lessons, directing Choirs and challenging others into deeper levels of worship. 

In December 2015, The Group David Rookwood and Halal were formed. Members of the group include Kerrian Williams – Soprano Vocalist | Christina Graham – Alto Vocalist | Chelule Miller – Tenor Vocalist | Keith Wilson – Keyboardist/Guitarist | Kenae Wiggan – Bassist | Joel Graham – Drummer.

Their debut EP Album “Flip The Switch” was released on Nov 5, 2016, and their debut single “Cover Me” in July of that year.

The mission of the group is to impact the lives of the younger generation through wholesome gospel music that is anointed to break the stereotypical culture that now surrounds them.
